Got to See My Chicago Bears finish out a ballgame with a win.

Yes, the offense did the trick in the first half, but it was the crucial goal stand which sealed the victory. The Philadelphia Eagles got down to the 1-yard line and tried three runs to push it in. The defense rose to the occasion and the Bears took over on the .5-yard line and moved out far enough to pin the eagles back deep in their own territory with only 17 seconds left in the game.

My body right now needs to regain some muscular strength. I can walk but not enough. I can get up but sometimes need help. I take pain medication and lots of supplements, which seem to be holding me up. I am wearing suppose stockings to keep my legs from swelling so that has been a relief. Now I just need to be able to eat more, even though my stomach has shrunk quite a bit; the water still is accumulating around the stomach area. I didn't think I would have enough to get to church this morning, so we watched the DVD of New Spring Church and hears some wonderful music and a great sermon. We had church for sure.

In the afternoon, Wayne & Beverly came by for pastoral visit. In late afternoon, Wayne & Marguerite Lewis came by with some more reading material. I tell everyone who comes to visit that I appreciate the social contact with my fellow believers, who each pray for me before they leave. What a good God has provided to give my peace and support during these last days.

I watched New Spring service as well Sunday evening while Sherman studied a docment. I always love hearing Lance and watching him relate to the rest of the singers and musicians. He is a great leader! When the service started, I couldn't see Lance. I thought perhaps he had taken off that Sunday, but after a bit the camera swooshed across the stage, and VOILA! there he was back with the guitarists next to the praise group, blending in! That's a leader who is showing the rest humility and teamwork!

You should be very proud of the years you spent investing in laying the godly foundation that Lance carries on today! Glory!

Be encouraged and your soul lifted up, my brother!
