Health Updates
* I fought throughout the weekend with fever and fever blisters on my upper lip, in my nose, and on my tongue. I was so afraid that I wouldn't be able to sing for Krista's wedding. With much water and prayer, I was able to make it through, but on Sunday morning during the preaching, I started chilling and running fever. When I got home, my temperature was 102.8 degrees.
* This morning the chills/fever hit at 8:30 a.m., so I didn't go to work. We went to the doctor to check out the chills/fever. She gave me an antibiotic shot and another tomorrow. She increased my pain medication, because I had begun to take it every 4 hours. She has written a prescription for enzymes; she doesn't feel they will help, but I wanted them. My over-the-counter enzymes aren't helping with the digestion problems. I can't eat much of anything, so I am drinking Glucerna and Boost for meal replacements.
* Sorry, I haven't felt much like blogging or doing anything else. I worked 3 hours on Saturday before the wedding; I taught Sunday School yesterday. Some day this week, I have two pianos tuned.

We have always loved you.

Ray, by your writings I sense that you are living out the testimony of one of my dearest life songs. I Admire You, My Brother. Thank You so much for keeping us informed so that our prayers can be more direct and delivered with better understanding. – Dale Lake
Day by day, and with each passing moment,
Strength I find to meet my trials here;
Trusting in my Father's wise bestowment,
I've no cause for worry or for fear.
He, whose heart is kind beyond all measure,
Gives unto each day what He deems best,
Lovingly its part of pain and pleasure,
Mingling toil with peace and rest.
Every day the Lord Himself is near me,
With a special mercy for each hour;
All my cares He fain would bear and cheer me,
He whose name is Counselor and Pow'r.
The protection of His child and treasure
Is a charge that on Himself He laid;
"As thy days, thy strength shall be in measure,"
This the pledge to me He made.
Help me then, in every tribulation,
So to trust Thy promises, O Lord,
That I lose not faith's sweet consolation,
Offered me within Thy holy Word.
Help me, Lord, when toil and trouble meeting,
E'er to take, as from a father's hand,
One by one, the days, the moments fleeting,
Till I reach the promised land.
